doesn't having a multi-cultural society destroy individual cultural identity? Wouldn't a world composed of multi-cultural nations lead to a world without culture? culture forms when a people of a similar background celebrate and observe similar customs and traditions, having a complete mix would inhibit that. for example, japan currently is a culturally homogenous nation with 98.5% of the population being Japanese. This has produced a unique, and truly "Japanese" culture. now, if Japan were to be say inundated with mass immigration, and the immigrants largely kept their own culture, that unique Japanese culture will die. Also, as is evident with multi-cultural states like the US, having so much diversity leads to a lot of racism and hate. I agree that we ought to respect and love others regardless of culture or race, but I think the world would be a lot more peaceful if nations were homogenous, that way, everyone has a country to call their own and no one feels threatened by other cultures.
